About This Training

Foundations of DEIB gives every staff member a shared language and a set of daily practices around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Rather than treating DEIB as a one-time event, the session connects it directly to organizational values and the people the organization serves. Participants leave able to spot a barrier in real time, respond with curiosity, and take concrete action on their own teams.

What Participants Learned

  • Spot the barrier. Staff can recognize when a situation presents a DEIB barrier for a colleague or client and respond with curiosity rather than judgment.
  • Act, not just agree. Each person walked away with at least one concrete action to strengthen DEIB on their team.
  • Equity over sameness. Participants can tailor support to real needs instead of applying one rule to everyone.
  • Belonging as safety. Staff connected belonging to psychological safety and saw their own role in creating it.

I feel the whole training was an aha moment. I learned a deeper understanding of what equity means, as well as everything included in DEIB.
